This year (2017-2018), team requirements are as follows:

1.)  Annual National Membership(s):

  • Each membership (Schools, Community Groups, Home-Schooled Students) must purchase an annual membership.  These groups can can register with the national organization at The cost is $135 for the 1st membership, and there are discounts for multiple memberships.  Some School Districts purchase multiple memberships to take advantage of this discount.  Go to our National site for more details:

2.)  Team Registration(s):

      • All teams must be registered and paid by December 15th to avoid a $20 late fee.
      • The $100 or $45 listed above includes a $25 regional tournament fee.  This fees is to help pay for custodial services, printing costs, the program, T-shirts for judges, and other miscellaneous expenses.
    • Each team is required to provide one judge and one worker for the regional competition.
    • Presentation to register team: FL Online Registration – Team Registration
    • Presentation to register team judge and worker:  FL Online Registration – Judge_Worker Registration
    • Step-by-Step instructions for team, judge and worker registrations: Register a Team – Step by Step
      • JUDGES:
        • Judge must attend training February 10th and tournament February 24th and will only be able to see teams they are “judging”.
        • Judges are committed to one area the whole day of competition and can’t leave to see their own child compete in another problem, so teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators make good prospects for judges. Judges are the heart of a quality tournament.
        • Judging assignments will be ready for pick up on the day of the Mandatory Coaches Meeting. (February 10, 2018 at Strawberry Crest High School, Dover)
        • For us to ensure a successful experience for the participants, judges must commit to and attend the training, or teams will be penalized.
      • If you do not yet have a judge or worker for your team, just put coach name & contact information in order to complete your registration.
      • WORKERS:
        • Workers will be given an assignment to work a 2 hour shift (see worker form below for more details)
      • When entering team/judge/worker contact information on the state site, do not use a School District of Hillsborough County (SDHC) email address. SDHC blocks many email addresses making communication difficult. We must have email addresses that get checked regularly.
      • All judge information must be complete as of December 30th.

Note to coordinator or coach: please print and complete these forms prior to registering your team.  They are for your use, so do not forward to Regional Director.

Problem Clarification: February 15th of the current OM year. All teams need to check the national website for problem clarification FREQUENTLY, even after this date. National has added some clarifications in the past after the deadline, even up to World Finals. In the end, it is the team’s responsibility.
